Panasonic finally demoed a real version of their tru2way CableCARD technology at their CEDIA booth. They used their very own 50-inch TH-50Z80Q plasma, which is scheduled for release later this year. This television in particular receive its signal from Comcast eliminating the need of a set-top-box.
Panasonic is definitely simplifying what cable used to be. This card will allow you to receive live signal from your cable provider with less hassle. This means that you don't have to carry around the set-top-box whenever you move. The image quality is excellent and very responsive. This is turning out to be a very popular type of technology for cable users, although it is only available in a handful of locations.
