The standard three blade wind turbine causes much disturbance and vibration for regular home use. The energy balls design has the ability to capture the wind more effectively with less disturbance to the household. This Swedish turbine can provide 15% of the needed energy for the average Swedish home.
This new designed wind turbine is a great way to improve efficiency while not causing too much of a raquet for the neighbors. Although it still has the capability to kill birds, it is a great way to save money on your energy bill. There is not much information available, so the cost of this new turbine is still unknown. this is also a great way to get a step ahead of your neighbors.

Panasonic's Tru2way CEDIA Demonstration
Panasonic finally demoed a real version of their tru2way CableCARD technology at their CEDIA booth. They used their very own 50-inch TH-50Z80Q plasma, which is scheduled for release later this year. This television in particular receive its signal from Comcast eliminating the need of a set-top-box.
Panasonic is definitely simplifying what cable used to be. This card will allow you to receive live signal from your cable provider with less hassle. This means that you don't have to carry around the set-top-box whenever you move. The image quality is excellent and very responsive. This is turning out to be a very popular type of technology for cable users, although it is only available in a handful of locations.

Pioneer Elite BDP-09FD Blu-ray Player
Although Pioneer did not bring much excitement to CEDIA, they did bring in the star of the blu-ray player world. Their $2,199 player is gorgeous on the eyes even though it is on the chunky side.
This new pioneer will definitely be one of the best blu-ray player once it hits the market. Stand alone blu-ray players such as these supports bitstreaming for improved sound and video quality. However, these improvements may not be noticeable to the average user. I do not believe that this player is worth the price. Honestly, I would rather buy a PlayStation 3 and have both a blu-ray player and gaming console for $399.
